Mrs. Stephanie Hoffpauir
Hello! My name is Stephanie Hoffpauir, and I am the school counselor at Sierra Verde! This year you can also find me teaching Middle School Study Skills as an exploratory course for seventh and eighth graders.
Working with children is an absolute passion of mine. This begins my 22nd year of serving children in schools. My teaching career started after I graduated from Baylor University and continued later in life at Sul Ross University. I am blessed to love what I do. I am excited about working with the students, families, and teachers of Sierra Verde! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures! I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!
I am a happy wife and mama of four young adult children and one adorable chocolate Lab, Barkley! When I’m not at school, you might find me exercising, hiking, baking in my kitchen, or reading a great book. I am an Arizona native but have lived over half of my life in Texas. (Arizona is my HOME SWEET HOME!)
I believe that the heart of an effective school counseling program is relationships. I hope to collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents and community members in order to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. Being a school counselor also means being an educator. I recognize that every child has strengths, different learning styles, and specific needs both academically and emotionally. It is my duty to honor these differences and find ways to support students and teachers both in and out of the classroom. I hope that my attitude of acceptance and optimism will positively impact and touch everyone in our Sierra Verde community.
I am also the 504 Coordinator for Sierra Verde. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
