Classroom Expectations

I have very high expectations and hold all students accountable for the learning and behavior. The students worked together and developed 3 classroom rules: Be responsible, Be organized, and Show respect. If students follow these 3 simple rules success will happen. 

 

As a reward/behavior system in my class I use tickets! Students receive tickets for coming to school, participating in class, doing homework, passing timed tests, for doing what is right, etc. Students owe me tickets if they don't do their homework, not following our classroom rules, etc. On Fridays, they can earn awards using their tickets. This gives the students incentive to work hard and do what is right. It is a system that really works for me. I have been doing this as my management system for 14 years! No matter what age they are...they love it! :)

 

If students are not managed within the classroom, it's very difficult for them to learn. Learning is number 1 in my classroom and I work hard to make that happen!
