About Mr. Foote
My name is Dennis Foote and I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a masters degree in elementary education. This is my 11th year at Sierra Verde. I also have a bachelors degree from Arizona State University in marketing with a minor in advertising. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I've been married for 29 years and my wife is also an elementary teacher who teaches 1st grade. I have a 23 year old daughter who graduated from ASU in May 2022. She received her BS degree in Astrobiology. She is now attending U of A to get her PhD in planetary sciences. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to comic book and collectible stores, and vacationing in California. I am also the event organizer for the Sierra Verde STEAM Night. I am very excited to be teaching your 7th grade science student this year because science is one of my greatest passions. I'm looking forward to working with you this school year.

The California Science Center is an awesome place to visit when you are in California. This is also the new home for the Space Shuttle Endeavour. I have been there multiple times and have seen the space shuttle in person, it is breath taking. Especially knowing that it has been in space and seeing how big it really is in person. Definitely a must if you love space and space travel.

Virgin Galactic is a website that I use to check on progress of commercial flight to outer space and back. This website will share information about milestones that this company has gone through to be able to send consumers to space, if you have the money.

World View: Voyage to the Edge of Space
World View is another company that is in the race to make commercial flight into outer space and back for the public. However; this is not done with a conventional aircraft with wings, but a balloon. This company is the alternative to Virgin Galactic. This site I also routinely check for progress.
