The 2023-24 school year marks my 19th year of teaching in the Deer Valley Unified School District. The first 16 years of my career were spent in the Special Education department. I felt a need for a change and a new challenge, so I made the switch to 6th grade ELA for the 2021-2022 school year. 

I am a native of Arizona.  I am an alumni of Xavier College Preparatory and graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Special Education.  My husband, Justin and I have been married for 15 years and have two, busy boys.  Joseph is our oldest son and Jacob is our youngest.  Both of my children attend Sierra Verde.  We love all things baseball, which keeps us very busy after school and on weekends! We also have a 5 year old chocolate lab, Tank; a 1 year old yellow lab, Scout,  and an Arizona Desert Tortoise, Anna.
