I am so excited to be a part of the Sierra Verde Viper team. I graduated from the University of Arizona (GO CATS) with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. This is my 15th year at Sierra Verde. I have taught Pre-K for 2 years and Kindergarten for 11 years. This is my 11th year teaching first grade.
I have 3 amazing children - Mackenzie is 28. She graduated from UofA and is a paralegal. She got married in November of 2023 and I have a great son-in-law, CJ. Zachary is 25 and graduated from Mountain Ridge High School. He works at Home Depot. In March of 2025 he married my adorable daughter-in-law Alex. Luke is 18, graduated from Mountain Ridge and is a Freshman at NAU this year. As if our house wasn't busy enough, we have a several four legged friends. Our Terrier mix Scout, is 6 years old and we have a year old Bernedoodle, Willow. Her sister belongs to Zach and Alex and is currently living here too. I also have a box turtle, her name is Carl and she spends most of her days at school in our classroom. Oh and I can't forget my grandkitty - Pepper Potts - she belongs to my son Zach. We also found a 6 week old kitten in the neighbors tree - so we kept her - her name is Paprika. She is now just over a year old!
In 2018, I got my real estate license and have been doing that on the side and during the summer. I work with HomeSmart Realty. I am excited for the opportunity to help people find their dream homes in addition to teaching.
We are a football family. We are huge Cardinal fans and enjoy going to the games. We even travel to Tucson to support our beloved Wildcats during football season. We also love going to the beach. We spend time in Oceanside or Newport every summer.
